Bahkan beberapa perkembangan di dunia IT itu sendiri dipicu oleh free software dan open software, misalnya internet yang berkembang pesat dengan adanya browser, messenger, dan email client yang free. Tetapi beberapa pengguna komputer masih belum terlalu mengerti tentang kemampuan software-software ini. Walaupun kadang mereka tanpa sadar memakainya, untuk internetan lah, untuk dengar musik lah, ataupun untuk nonton film.

Karena berhubung lagi ga ada kerjaan gw coba2 listing software free/open di Windows apa yang bagus n cocok untuk bidang tertentu :

Browser

• Firefox – Salah satu browser terpopuler pada saat sekarang ini, dan mempunyai banyak add-ons yang sangat mempermudah dan memberikan jaminan keamanan yang lebih baik daripada browser lain.
• Opera – dengan fitur anti-pishing, blok pop-up window yang kadang pop-up window yang kita memang sengaja munculkan juga terblok ehehehehe. Browser ini juga bersanding dengan firefox dan bersaing dengan MSIE (Microsoft Internet Explorer).
• Sea Monkey – Untuk sementara no komen deh
• Maxthon Browser – Ringan dan menggunakan engine dari MSIE
• Netscape – Kirain dah hilang ini browser ternyata masih bisa muncul juga, tapi satu yang jelas browser terberat yang pernah gw pake.
• Google Chrome – Web browser dari Google, ringan dengan tampilan minimalis. Cuman yang bikin jengkel tuh bookmarknya susah banget ngaturnya, n ga tau dimana bisa ngeliat bookmark yang kita simpan (kalo ada yang tau, tolong ajarin dong).

Messenger

• Yahoo! Messenger – No komen, pasti rata2 semua dah tau
• GAIM – Multinetwork messenger, bisa digunakan untuk Yahoo! Network, Irc, ICQ
• Digsby – bisa diapakai untuk bermacam2 akun, kek yahoo, icq, facebook dll.

Utilitas

• CCleaner – Membersihkan Registry dan File-file temporary
• Recuva – Merestore file-file yang tidak sengaja terhapus
• SIW – Utility untuk melihat informasi lengkap tentang hardware yang terdapat di komputer kita, ringan n enak banget dipakai, meskipun kadang untuk vga card ga terlalu bagus ngenalin chipset yang dipakai.
• Defraggler – Utiliti defrag yang ringan, compact dan enak dipakai.
• Unlocker – berfungsi untuk melepas lock aplikasi pada removable drive dari eksternal hdd, usb flashdisk, dll. Walaupun kadang menjengkelkan untuk eksternal hdd karena terlihat tidak ada proses yang menlock, tetapi tetap dibilang ada program yang sementara mengakses file di hdd tersebut.

Multimedia Player

• K-Lite Codec Pack – Yang ini salah satu andalan gw kalo mau pake nonton, rata-rata semua format bisa diputar ma ni software, tetapi versi terakhir tidak memasukkan format RealMedia (.rmvb).
• WinAMP – Wah yang satu ini jelas, pemutar MP3 dari jaman baheula, dari kompie pertama gw yang masih Cyrix 167 MHz hehehehe.

Audio Editing

• Audacity – Memang masih belum sekomplit dan sebagus Adobe Audition (CoolEdit yang diakuisisi ma Adobe), tetapi dah lumayan untuk dipake untuk ngedit lagu.

Graphics Editing

• GIMP – Photoshop klasik (kata temen gw), tetapi dengan plugins yang banyak tersebar dan semuanya gratis bahkan bisa di modif (motor kalee). Coba deh bandingin ama Photoshop dengan harga selangit untuk kantong orang-orang di Indonesia.
• InkScape – Alternatif pengganti dari CorelDraw, ga pernah make sih so no komen aj. Tapi yang pasti ringan n gratis wakakakaka (diinstall doang hehehehe)

3D Animation

• PovRay – No Komen, ga tau 3D Animation T.T cuman diinstall doang di kompie gw
• Blender – Ama di atas cuman diinstall doang. Tapi klo ga salah denger beberapa film animasi 3D yang keren di luar sana menggunakan Blender sebagai pengolah 3D-nya.

Office

• OpenOffice – nah yang ini merupakan alternatif pengganti buat MS. Office yang mahalnya ga ketulungan untuk kantong gw…(hummm hummm ada koq alternatif yang gratis … bajakan huehehehehe). Dikembangkan oleh Sun Microsystem dan menggunakan teknologi Java, office suite ini sangat layak koq dipake untuk perkantoran walaupun belum secanggih MS. Office.

Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware

• SpyBot Search & Destroy – Pemberantas Malware berupa spyware yang ampuh.
• PCMAV – Antivirus lokal yang kuat memberantas virus-virus lokal, walupun lambat banget nih aplikasi, tapi cukup powerfull untuk memberantas virus-virus lokal yang belakangan merajalela
• AVG – AVG free keknya sudah jadi solusi umum untuk pengguna rumahan, bahkan bagi office yang males mengeluarkan biaya banyak untuk sebuah antivirus, walaupun kehandalannya masih diberi tanda tanya yang besar sekali.

Untuk mendonlod aplikasi-aplikasi tersebut, gw biasa ngambil di filehippo, portableapps klo pcmav ada situs resminya, tapi lupa namanya. So silahkan mencoba … n budidayakan Free Software dan Open Source (Setidaknya ngurangin dosa hehehehehe … windowsnya bajakan yub???? … Oalah iya lupa, ah lain kali aj).

Impression :

Itazura na Kiss, only with two episodes left, and when it end, I think there will be a hole in my heart and make me feel something missing. Really love this anime, from the beginning till the end, all the part of this anime made me feel alive again. Not only that, all the themes, opening and ending, is one of my most favorite songs all the time.

Begin with Kimi, Meguru, Boku (like one of the episode’s title) translated by m.3.3.w as “You, Go Around, Me”. And frankly, I didn’t understand the meaning of the words XD. But I really lucky there’s a translation of the lyric at Gendou. And at the part “We’ve always looked for a fate entwined in mischief. Then, now that we’ve met, I’m sure that it’s not just a coincidence. I want to be by your side forever”, I remembered how Kotoko fought to get Irie Naoki attention and love, and … oops sorry no spoiler.

Then Kataomoi Fighter, “One-sided Love Fighter”, well I liked the cheerfull melody, and too bad there’s no translation for this song.

And the third and also 2nd ending theme, Jikan yo Tomare, “Time, Please Stop”, liked the music and the lyric, and I remembered all the happy and sad moments which experienced by all the characters. Well it’s like a fairy tale love story, but I really like a happy ending (well I hope it will be happy ed), and I really was touched by all those moments. I really recommended to watch the anime and then hear the songs, for shoujo and fairy tale love story fans out there, this one of the best title in its season (imo).

Dennou Coil, sci-fi cyber theme anime, is about the adventures of Amasawa Yuuko and Okonogi Yuuko in Daikoku. In Daikoku, they implemented half-virtual world that can be accessed with a visor or eyeglasses. This anime begin slow at first, and for an action seeker anime fans, this anime exactly not for you. For sci-fi enthusiast, this a must watch series, as well as noein.

At first, I didn’t pay any attention at soundtrack of Dennou Coil, well just a quick peek at episode 1 at that time. When I finally watched it seriously, and hear the ending,  this “Sora no Kakera” became one of my favorite songs. And after a great watching experience, got full song  at gendou with the lyric, and Larissa give the english translation, really made my day

Gw denger nih lagu sebenarnya kebetulan banget. Ani-song (Lagu anime) dari Fullmoon wo Sagashite, Myself. Pertama gw beli cd mp3 yang 5rebuan di MTC, kebetulan ada beberapa ani-song yang gw suka banget di dalamnya. Tapi gw ga pernah tau ini lagu ama animenya, soalnya shoujoish habis hehehehe (ga tahan nontonnya). Eh ternyata ini lagu ada di folder pertama, yang secara kebetulan gw add langsung ke winamp gw, pdhal gw biasanya add perfile. Pertama denger hummm langsung gw liatin judulnya….lumayan, n terus gw cariin di internet liriknya sebulan kemudian (ga ada internet di rumah T.T n selalu lupa klo udh internetan soalnya nyari anime mulu ), gw tambah jatuh hati ma nih lagu. Tadi sore sempet gw setel, gw jadi melankolis sampai sekarang, karena kata2nya nyentuh banget gw, n keadaan gw whew.
